“Seal of the President of the United States”  imprint on the watch dial. This is a watch for the special operation forces, in this case for the secrete service agents of the president.  It was imported from the US to Singapore several years ago and left “unnoticed” in a special military accessary shop.

This piece was found from an Army accessary shop

Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol) by Zitura May 15, 2010

The picture shows an authorized limited collection of Marilyn Monroe watch with the dial imprinted with Andy Warhol’s famous artwork.  The caseback signed “Andy Warhol”.   This collection was produced circa 1990s.  This is a very rare piece of collection around in association with Andy Warhol’s artwork.

Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was a key figure in Pop Art, an art movement that emerged in America and elsewhere in the 1950s to become prominent over the next two decades.

Warhol was fascinated with morbid concepts. Sometimes, however, the results are astonishingly beautiful, such as the resonating, brilliantly colored images of Marilyn Monroe. The Marilyn canvases were early examples of Warhol’s use of silkscreen printing.

The Gold Seamaster Story May 9, 2010

This is a fond legacy to be passed down… as part of this collectible piece of Omega vintage Seamaster with very special 18k gold-capping case, circa early 1970s.

The gold watch was produced in an era that in Europe, gold material was in short-supply (late 1960s – 1970s).  Some of the established watch companies went on to produce such gold-capping products for the markets.  The gold-capped watches would have a layer of real gold “hard cover” on top of the steel watch casing.

This piece of Omega gold-capped seamaster was found in Cambodia.  It was most likely a gift to a local lady by her American boyfriend then.  Eventually this watch ended up in a watch shop and sold for a couple of hundred USD.

It could string along a beautiful love story embeded in time… through this collection.

Elegant & matured... and time tells many stories

Someone observed the latest Longines advertisement in a magazine called, The Peak.  It is very interseting to note that advertised new model is named “Lomgines” Admiral.  Or is it simply an typo error?  Or Longines has simply created a new name for its new model?

Most of the Seiko early batches of automatic chronographs survived the days would look very worn-out. But not this rare piece Seiko (Sports) SpeedTimer circa 1971.  The collection piece shown here remains in mint condition and very accurate in keeping time due to careful preservation by its previous collector.  One of the pictures below shows a typical worn-out piece of 6139 model (from Internet) which is the common state for vintage Seikos.
