Seiko 5 is truly a very long running series of the watch manufacturer’s production.  Right up till today there are still new models of Seiko 5 being produced and marketed all over the world.

The piece shown here was sold in early 1990s in Asia. The watch has very durable gold plating and automatic mechanism. Truly a work-horse model for all walks of life.

Grand Seiko hi-beat automatic model, circa 1970s.

Fully serviced by Seiko in mint condition.

The GS remains one of the most prestigous Seiko wrist watch models in the brand’s history. New GS watches are sold at relatively high market prices and older generations of GS remain rare in the market and highly sought after by collectors.

In this post readers will appreciate truly German craftmanship and beauty.

Fully automatic mechanical watch movement constructed with two seperate winding micro rotors that power each of the movements. This is not the usual stuff from those quartz watches with two time zones.

The piece that’s shown here is the first edition of the lots made in Germany. It was the only piece brought into to Asia (Macau) in mid 2006.

Subsequent batches were sold via watch agents and carry slightly different dial inscriptions.
