This piece of Rolex Datejust wrist watch was produced and sold circa 1990s.  It is more special than other Rolex Datejust because of its Mother-of-pearl dial. According to manufacturer, making such dial would require special workmanship and attention in the process, with a low success rate of slightly above 30%.  As the mother-of-pearl material is very fragile and easily cracked under slightest pressure.

This piece of mother-of-pearl Datejust Rolex carries very light tone of pink, only be seen in certain angles of reflection.

Worn on a wrist

What readers see here in this page is a piece of old vintage Hamilton Doctor’s wrist watch, circa 1940s.

The watch casing is made of 14k solid gold, within which it houses a hand-winding super slim mechanical movement.

In those day, medical doctors wore such wrist watch with a small second counter at the 6 o’clock position on the dial. It is used for counting heart-beats/pulses of their patients.

Not many such old vintage pieces are left today…
