The following extracted feedback on the latest Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is what many people are waiting to know.
Is the new Redmi Note 4G better than its older sibling Note 3G?
From the comment it seems that the answer is very positive for the new comer.

Benchmark scores?
From numerous hands on tests, the Redmi Note 4G performs the following benchmarks,
– Antutu :  20908
– Quadrant :  11,600

It is noted that the difference in chip set between the two Redmi Notes has indicated a smoother user experience for the Redmi Note 4G which is using the Snapdragon 400 (8928) quad-core processor.
Though the 3G version has the MediaTek Octa-core (8 cores) processor, its optimization for user experience is of lesser result.

Apparently the Indian market remains the key expansion target of Xiaomi. Both the old and new Redmi Note are heading for the mass population.

Samsung and Sony will be hit hard by Xiaomi, that’s a known fact. Apparently Samsung will put up a strong fight in 2015, coming up with “smoother” product lines to fend off the Chinese “cool stuff”…

WHY IS THAT SO?

The following comparison table highlights the five key areas that the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi NOTE 4G LTE is more superior than its predecessor Redmi Note 3G. In particular, Wi-Fi, 4G and Ram processing speed are faster than the older Redmi Note.  That adds to much better user experience.  In addition, Snapdragon architecture is better than the MediaTek chipset.

The Redmi Note 4G also runs on more optimized Android OS version 4.4 KitKat and, comes with higher storage for Sdcard (64GB).
Overall, the new Redmi Note 4G LTE runs on better technological platform than its predecessor. Though the old Redmi Note 3G has a eight-core CPU processor, but it is not as optimized as its new successor.
In addition, the Qualcomm chip set used by Redmi Note 4G has the following stated advantage,

Acer A1-810 Tablet Long-term Review November 11, 2014

The following is an extract of an Acer A1-810 tablet’s concise review/comment from the web.

image

The A1-810 was launched and put on the market in May 2013.
Since then, several firmware updates were implemented by Acer to improve on its system.
The Acer A1-810 was launched with Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

In July this year (2014) Acer pushed out a major firmware update for the tablet to be placed on KitKat 4.4.2 finally.
With this system OS update, Acer A1-810 users would received a value added feature that is embedded deep within the operating system:  Android ART runtime!

Be reminded that the Android Runtime (ART) feature remains a default system process runtime for the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop so far. Though it can be selected as an option for devices on the KitKat 4.4 but many OEM manufacturers choose to block out the ART from users. It could be that manufacturers feel that it might not run properly on KitKat OS versions for many apps.

However, Acer has chosen to implement the choice of ART option on the KitKat update on its Acer A1-810 tablets. And the result is that ART works extremely well on the tablet without problem. Acer engineers must have worked very hard on it to ensure such a great software optimization.

How do users of Acer A1-810 turn on the ART option?
First thing first, go to Setting ~ About Tablet to tap numerous times on Build Number to activate the otherwise hidden Developer Options.
Then proceed to Select Runtime (tap on ART) within the Developer Options and the system will reboot itself (also to update all apps). There you go. The ART (Android Runtime mode) will be activated.

image

My experience of using the ART on Acer A1-810 has been very positive. Apps and system UI perform in smooth and fluid manner.
Antutu and Quadrant benchmarks also clearly indicate big improvement in overall system efficiency.

In addition to using ART Android runtime, users should also download the latest Google Now Launcher (as follows) to further expend their Android experience.
