Priced at the budget category (approximately USD158), the Acer B1~810 (Acer Iconia One 8) is not ‘budget’ in terms of its capability!

The latest One 8 is called Acer Iconia B1-810, with the specs shows an 8-inch Android 4.4.4 tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800. IPS screen.

Other specs are a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with a 1.83GHz burst frequency. Other than that, there’s only 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of memory, a tiny 0.3MP VGA front camera, while there’s a 5MP camera with Full HD video recording on the back of the tablet.

Based on the CPU~Z app, the Iconia One 8 was embedded with a big battery (4980mAH) as well as the latest Silvermont Intel processor. Silvermont is Intel’s first low power core designed for 22nm. It is accompanied by a modern SoC fabric and will form the basis of products in smartphones and tablets.
Silvermont retains some similiarities to Saltwell, as both are dual-issue designs, but nearly every aspect has been fundamentally changed to enhance architectural efficiency.

Many would be interested to know if this stuff can handle some serious gaming?
The answer is a responding Yes.
I have tested some of the moderate and intensive games such as, Riptide GP2, Temple Run2, Ninjump, Dead Trigger2 and some popular Chinese based games. This device has no problem of running popular games from Play Store.
In particular, when I was playing the Dead Trigger2, I was also downloading some other heavy files in the background. The game phased along smoothly. I’m impressed.

~ audio speaker quality is soft. Once you plug in a pair of good earpiece, the sound quality for music is really good and enjoyable.
~ camera is average but decent, much improved over the Acer A1~810 tablet. See result below.
